There are many healthy low sugar juice recipes to choose from to support vibrant health. But not all of them also support your efforts when you are on a parasite cleanse. This juice recipe, though, turns up the heat during a detox!
Juicing for a Parasite Cleanse
Did you know juicing certain low sugar fruits and vegetables can aid in eliminating parasites? Hot peppers, garlic, onions, cayenne are some hard hitting choices to include in your juices while on a mission to eliminate parasites, particularly intestinal worms.
Ten years ago, I personally used this recipe while on a juice fast and simultaneous parasite cleanse. I wished for a savory dinner juice and created this juice recipe with salsa in mind. At around day 20 on the fast, I expelled a nest of worms, and the following day passed a nest of a second type of worm! (I accomplished this via enema.)
You may wonder how one even gets worms. People can contract parasites from soil, air, inadequately washed fruits and vegetables, undercooked meats and seafood and close contact with an infected person. For me, at the time I was living in a cabin in the woods where, unbeknownst to me, the kitchen was frequented by mice and shrews for some time. Ugh.
This recipe has ever since been my go-to recipe when I want a delicious savory juice, whether for everyday nourishment or as part of a parasite cleansing plan.

Tomatoes are uniquely low in beta-carotene, but high in the antioxidant lycopene. A tomato-rich diet has been studied for its anti-cancer potential. Several studies were conducted and analyzed for the effect of tomatoes on risk of numerous cancers. Tomatoes were shown to provide some protection from all cancers studied, most notably in digestive-tract cancers. (1)
Cilantro has been used throughout the world for thousands of years, for culinary use, as well as therapeutic applications including to settle nauseous tummies, prevent gas and bloating, relieve indigestion and heartburn, and ease stomach cramps. The herb also aids in digestion by helping produce digestive enzymes that promote the breakdown of foods. (2)
Garlic has been used for centuries to treat parasitic infestations; it can alleviate issues with any type of intestinal worms. Raw garlic has sulfur-containing amino acids that are anti-parasitic in nature. (3)
Additionally, the antibacterial, antifungal and antiseptic properties in garlic help kill microbes in the body. As cited by Times Food “The presence of allicin and ajoene compounds kill amoebas causing diseases and regular use of garlic also detoxifies the body and protects against oxidation caused by parasite toxins.” (4)
Lime Juice, and almost all citrus fruits, are a particularly good source of vitamin C and folate, which both have roles in sustaining the integrity of immunological barriers and support a strong immune system. (5)
Limes also have a delicious pungent scent that can stimulate saliva secretion. These secretions contain amylase enzymes that help digest food. (6)
Peppers — Hot and Not
Hot Peppers, like jalapeno, are rich in antioxidants. Chilis also contain capsaicin, which is what gives them their heat, and is the source of a lot of other health benefits. Capsaicin may help to improve digestion by increasing the amount of digestive fluids in your stomach. (7)
Bell Peppers are rich in antioxidant vitamins including vitamins A,C, E, B6, lycopene and beta-carotene. Bell peppers also contain a natural color pigment called quercetin, which can lower blood pressure. (8) Studies have shown bell peppers may boost the immune system due to their high content of vitamin A. (9)
Cayenne has unique properties that are antifungal and antiparasitic. (10) To this day, people have used cayenne to treat an array of ailments, including, but not limited to, headache, nausea, herpes, shingles, and pericarditis, and also to combat chills. For ages it has been used for stomach and bowel pains and cramps and to expel intestinal worms. (11), (12)
Some Like It Hot Juice Recipe
Makes one serving.
Ingredients
2-3 large tomatoes
1 red bell pepper
1/2 bunch cilantro
1-2 cloves garlic
1/3 hot pepper, seeds removed
1/2 limes juice
Pinch chili powder
Pinch cayenne
Instructions
1. Juice all ingredients together. Add additional tomato or bell pepper to suit your taste.
2. Stir in spices and serve.
